Surprise! Well, sort of. Earlier this week, a Microsoft Store page prematurely revealed a 20th Anniversary Edition of the GameCube classic, Beyond Good & Evil. This is on top of an additional leak that happened back in August thanks to an ESRB ratings page. Although the page was swiftly removed after being listed, a plethora of details were uncovered, including the following:
- Up to 4K 60FPS gameplay
- Updated controls
- New rewards
- Speedrun Mode
- Achievements
While the early reveal was taken down, the internet did what it does best and spread the news like wildfire. This prompted Ubisoft to spill the beans itself a bit earlier than planned, using the official Beyond Good & Evil 2 Twitter account.
Well, looks like the cat’s out of the bag, dagnammit. Happy 20th anniversary to Beyond Good & Evil! While we cannot wait to show you more about this special edition, more news to come in early 2024! pic.twitter.com/cNxHGTnmdU
