Today’s Indie World Showcase opened with a confirmation that the previously-announced reboot of Shantae Advance would be coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Featuring crisp pixel art and all of the things Shantae fans have come to love about the series, including Shantae’s iconic hair-whip attack and multiple animal-transformations, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution will also feature a brand-new 4-player battle mode so players can get in on the action with their friends and family. This summer, Limited Run Games announced it would be releasing Shantae Advance on Game Boy Advance cartridges, and after today’s announcement in Indie World that the game is also coming to Switch, Limited Run has revealed that they will be releasing physical Switch cartridges alongside their plans for GBA versions of Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution.
