Nintendo is the most nominated publisher at The Game Awards 2023

Update (12/1/23): The Game Awards event is airing in less than one week, and Nintendo is gearing up for all of its nominations, with no award quite as exciting as Game of the Year. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of Nintendo’s two chances to earn the title of champion for 2023, and the company is showing just how much the title deserves the win with the powerful nominations trailer below.

 

 

Make sure to tune on Thursday, December 7th, to see if Tears of the Kingdom or Super Mario Bros. Wonder earns that coveted GOTY 2023 award!

With 2023 coming to a close, awards season is just getting started. The Game Awards 2023 are set to take place on December 7, 2023, and all of the nominees have just been announced. Nintendo is very well represented across several categories, including nominations for both The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, and Best Art Direction, among other nominations for each game.

Other Nintendo titles are also up for awards, with Pikmin 4 nominated not only for Best Family Game but also Best Sim/Strategy Game, where it’s joined by Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp and Fire Emblem Engage.

With all these nominations under its belt, Nintendo is the most-nominated publisher at this year’s Game Awards with 15 total nominations.
