It’s not often that everyone’s favorite red-clad plumber takes on Marvel’s very own web-head, Spider-Man, but October 20th saw the release of two of the year’s biggest titles in Super Mario Wonder and Spider-Man 2. GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that while Spider-Man came out on top in the first week of the games’ release in the UK, Super Mario Wonder moved on to take the top spot in week two.
As far as sales in the UK go for 2023 overall, Spider-Man is still beating Mario out slightly, placing fourth in “most physical games sold” this year, while Super Mario Wonder is currently in fifth place.
