A few days ago, modders who got their hands on Super Mario Bros. Wonder early (via illicit methods) edited the Talking Flowers to say foul words instead of their usual family-friendly comments. Well, Nintendo hasn’t taken kindly to such cheap and crude chicanery, and has stricken down the videos showing the mods under DMCA.

Wonder is apparently an easy game to mod, sharing a format with other Nintendo games like Tears of the Kingdom. Even so, the speed of the modding is awful fast, and the fact that it was pre-release is probably a reason Nintendo smote them fiercely and swiftly. We’ll have to see if they’re as merciless after the game actually comes out.
