Sonic’s become known for some high quality 2D animations in recent years, and the latest is here – Sonic Superstars: Trio of Trouble highlights the upcoming 4-person platformer by showing who Sonic and his buddies will be facing off against.
Directed by Evan Stanley and co-directed by Tyson Hesse, the animation is split into two distinct parts. In the first, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy fight the dubious Fang the Hunter as he pilots a weaponized mech. In the second, Fang joins Dr. Eggman and his new, sensitive of soul assistant Trip as they explore some ruins. The expression and creativity of the animation is absolutely worth your five minutes of time, so check it out when you have a chance.
