Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon released on the 3DS, a system with a 240p resolution. The Nintendo Switch is a system with a resolution of 720p in handheld mode, 1080p while docked. You can imagine, then, that the graphical upgrade for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is a sizable one, as GameXplain shows:
Sometimes you’ll see a 1080p -> 4k comparison and barely notice a thing, and sometimes you see something like this where the upgrade is night and day… or in this case, night and a significantly clearer night. While little about the lighting or coloration looks significantly different, the sheer resolution jump is something to behold.
