The long-anticipated Sea of Stars – a retro-styled RPG made by the team behind The Messenger – finally arrives next Tuesday, August 29th. In celebration of its imminent release, the game has gotten a two minute launch trailer breaking down its core:

The three-character turn-based combat is inspired heavily by Chrono Trigger, and even has that game’s Yasunori Mitsuda as a guest composer. You’ll join Lunar Monk Valere, Solar Blade Dancer Zale, and a host of other companions who will fend off the evil Fleshmancer.

In addition, it’s been announced that iam8bit will release a physical edition of the game in early 2024. Stay tuned for more details on a release for that. The digital version of Sea of Stars releases next Tuesday, August 29th.
