Here’s a nice little treat for the day – storyboards for Sonic CD’s opening animation, drawn by none other than original Sonic designer Naoto Ohshima himself.
Toei has turned the SonicCD OP storyboard I drew into a wonderful video.

Ohshima sent the storyboards off to the legendary Toei Animation, who enlisted Studio Junio to animate it. While there aren’t individual scans of each board to peruse, you can still garner quite a bit of detail just at a glance.
