Most Pokémon animated series take place in the universe established by the video games, following trainers and stories throughout the universe the eponymous critters live in. But what about one that takes place in the real world, chronicling one young’un’s path to TCG dominance? This forms the core concept of Pokémon: Path to the Peak, a brand new web series focusing on the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
After moving to a new town, Ava struggles to find something to do at school… until she joins the Pokémon Club. While an initial loss makes her salty enough to consider quitting, after being taught a “special trick” by her dad, she’s ready to take on her club members with her trusty Oddish at her side. Can she become a true Pokémon Master?
