There’s only a matter of months before we can experience a sequel to one of the most revolutionary 2D platforms of the early ’90s in the form of Flashback 2. The game will be published by Microids this November, and in the lead up they’ve showed a new trailer giving us a taste of its cyberpunk dystopia.

Flashback 2 reunites several developers from the original 1992 game including game designer Thierry Perreau and Amiga soundtrack composer Raphaël Gesqua, alongside creator Paul Cuisset. As for what you can expect, the game will take place in 2.5D like the original and follow Conrad B. Hart as he ventures across the United Worlds in search of a lifelong friend.

Flashback 2 will hit the Nintendo Switch and all other modern platforms on November 16th.

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
