Cult classic masterpiece The World Ends With You released on the DS back on July 27, 2007, and its sequel NEO The World Ends With You released on the same date fourteen years later. Love for both games from fans is still strong, even if Square Enix has been relatively quiet about them since NEO’s release – but in celebration of the anniversary, the game’s character designer, Gen Kobayashi, put out some art on Twitter:

 

 

Both games are available on Switch (though we recommend the DS version of the original if you can get your hands on it, since that’s the best way to experience its story). Hopefully SE will spare a little more love for the franchise going forward.
