My boy, this is the spiritual successor all true warriors strive for! Revealed during Limited Run Games’ recent showcase, Arzette: the Jewel of Faramore is a brand new sidescrolling interactive adventure that serves as a tribute to the most beloved games of our childhood: namely Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon for the Phillips CD-i. You’ve GOT to be kidding!

Yup, it features the same style of animation, sidescrolling action, and everything. And this is far from just a fan tribute: talent from those very same Zelda CD-i games is returning to help develop this one. Jeffrey Rath (who voiced Link) and Bonniejean Wilbur (who voiced Zelda) lend the project their voices, and Rob Dunlavey (who drew the world maps) returns with new art. It even has a tribute to Hotel Mario in the trailer! I’m filled with so much anticipation, I could eat an octorok!

Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore’s ship sails in the morning – I mean, later this year.
