Square Enix has released a bunch of different projects and merchandise for Final Fantasy’s 35th Anniversary but this latest video is something special.

While on the surface it might look like a simple interview, some big names have attended. These include series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, original graphic and UI designer Kazuko Shibuya, and the current brand manager Yoshinori Kitase.

Plenty of interesting topics are discussed, with Final Fantasy’s name origin being given a definitive answer, the involvement of Nasir Gebelli, and even details for the high-speed Nautilus airship in Final Fantasy III.

This is just the first part of the interview, with the second set to focus on Final Fantasy IV through VI. We’ll be sure to bring you it when it drops!
