UPDATE: In an official press release, it has been confirmed that there will be a physical edition for Sonic Superstars and that Sonic’s original designer, Naoto Ohshima, will be creating a new antagonist for Sonic to face in the game.
Out of the blue during today’s Summer Game Fest, we got an all-new Sonic the Hedgehog game in the classic style, and he’s brought some friends along!
Sonic Superstars will be a classic platformer where you can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose on a quest to get the Chaos Emeralds and once again best Doctor Eggman. The ending also gives us a glimpse of Nack the Weasel, seemingly returning in a big role.
But the best news? It’s out in just a matter of months this fall!
