The love-letter that is Dead Cells has sold over 10 million copies since it launched via Early Access on May 10th, 2017.

The game, which merges Metroidvania elements with a roguelike structure, has since released across many different platforms, with the Switch version debuting in August 2018. This was followed by 34 free updates and the collaboration DLC “Return to Castlevania” which released earlier this year.

In a statement marking the milestone, developers Motion Twin and Evil Empire confirmed that they are “experimenting with ideas for future updates” and will continue supporting the game until 2025 at least.
