In recent years it feels as though the once thriving indie retro-inspired platformer scene has been quieter, with other nostalgic genres taking the spotlight. Tiny Thor is looking to bring back some of that classic action, though.

Developed by Asylum Square, with art from Henk Nieborg (Contra 4, Shantae series) and music by Chris Hulsbeck (Turrican, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron), it hearkens back to retro platformers while maintaining a modern aspect ratio and level of detail. In particular, the adventure across thirty levels will seem quite familiar to fans of the Amiga consoles.

Check out the release date teaser, which focuses mostly on the visuals and music, below:

Tiny Thor will first release for PC on June 5th but a Switch release isn’t too far behind with a launch “later this summer”.
