Every time there’s an Indie World, fans of Hollow Knight cry out in unison for an update on the DLC-turned-sequel Silksong. So far there’s been no luck, and this latest developer update suggests an even longer wait is in store.
Matthew Griffin, the marketing and publishing lead for the game, sent out a tweet confirming that the game will no longer be released within early 2023 as originally planned.
Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong.
We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.

A new date has yet to be given, but at the very least it looks like Metroidvania fans have a big new world to look forward to.
We’ll be sure to bring you all the latest on Hollow Knight: Silksong as it comes in.
