Alongside news of the long-awaited Pyra and Mythra amiibo two-pack and a trailer focused on Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Future Redeemed DLC, Nintendo had one last bit of surprise news for RPG fans and collectors alike.

Two brand-new amiibo are on the way hailing from Xenoblade Chronicles 3!

Both Noah and Mio will get the amiibo treatment, though details on their functionality has and a potential release wasn’t given. Presumably they’ll be rendered in the poses from their key art in the above tweet. So far, amiibo have only unlocked weapon skins in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and with Noah and Mio’s default weapons already being present in the game there’s definitely room for speculation on what these new amiibo will do.

Notably, this is the first time Xenoblade Chronicles has gotten amiibo not tied to Super Smash Bros. I’d call that quite the compliment for the series, and a showing of just how far it’s come since its Wii-era beginnings.

Look forward to more details on the Noah and Mio amiibo in the future, and be sure to follow Amiibo News on Twitter for all your in-stock and pre-order needs!
