Awards season continues to truck along, with various academies and institutions you don’t really hear about at other times of year continuing to dole out awards. This weekend was host to the BAFTA Awards, when the British Academy of Film and Television Arts gives out a host of accolades to film and games. On the Nintendo side of things, the company picked up one award – Best Family Game for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The Kirbster beat out Disney Dreamlight Valley, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Nintendo Switch Sports for the accolade. Nintendo didn’t really earn any other nods in the show, whether in awards or even nominations, but their dominance in the family game category is long-standing. We’ll have to see if they win it again next year.
