We’re only a few days away from the English release of the first Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era on March 31st, but that doesn’t mean the Pokémon TCG train is slowing down one bit. The Pokémon Company announced this morning that the next expansion of the Pokémon TCG will be subtitled Paldea Evolved, and will have a focus on the three starters of the Paldea region, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and their evolutions. Scarlet & Violet–Paldea Evolved will release worldwide on June 9th, 2023.

 

 

The expansion will feature several new cards, including new Pokémon ex and Tera Pokémon ex cards, and new illustration rare, ultra rare, and hyper rare cards, with the complete count of noteworthy cards listed below:

  • 15 Pokémon ex and 3 Tera Pokémon ex
  • 36 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 18 ultra rare Pokémon ex and 8 ultra rare Supporter cards
  • 15 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • 9 hyper rare gold etched cards, which can include Pokémon ex, Trainer, and Energy cards

 

 

Scarlet & Violet–Paldea Evolved will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections starting June 9th, 2023, and is available for pre-order right now over at Pokémon Center US, Canada, and UK. Don’t forget though, the first Pokémon TCG Scarlet and Violet expansion launches in stores and online next Friday, March 31st, 2023, and it’ll introduce silver borders on the cards worldwide.
