As a longtime amiibo collector, I know a thing or two about Nintendo and scarcity. That’s why when I saw the news today that Super Nintendo World in Japan would be releasing a special edition Golden Power-Up Band in extremely limited quantities, I could feel my heart rate increase ever so slightly. The Gold Power-Up band will be available at Super Nintendo World in Tokyo starting on March 18th, in celebration of the park’s 2nd anniversary. According to the post from Nintendo, the band will be produced in a limited quantity, and once it’s gone, it’s gone! From what we can tell, the band is pretty much just a gold-painted Mario band, but you have to admit, it looks pretty darn amazing! But wait, if you flip it up-side-down…Could it be? It’s-a WARIO TIME!

As some of you may know, the Power-Up band at Super Nintendo World isn’t just a way to interact with the park, but it’s also a gosh-darned amiibo, too! So once you’re done exploring the park and collecting coins with your NFC bracelet, you can take it home and scan it into some games too!

My wallet is already crying as I can already tell this will be a hot commodity on the second-hand market
