Ready to unravel the past? Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon releases this month on Nintendo Switch, a spinoff/sequel that swaps Bayonetta’s flashing spectacle action for a more restrained dual-control puzzle-action hybrid with a storybook aesthetic. The tale of young Cereza and her demon friend Cheshire is unraveled in the game’s lengthy story trailer:

You can see the general shape of the plot pretty well, from Cereza being a witch in training to meeting Cheshire to setting out with him in search of his mother. Plenty of trials and tribulations await the pair on their journey, and you can start it right now by downloading the demo, which will carry over your progress into the full game.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon releases on March 17th.
