We’re quickly approaching the end of Ash Ketchum’s decades-long run in the Pokémon anime, with new protagonists Liko and Roy set to star in a new series starting this April in Japan.
Ever since the announcement that Ash would be leaving, though, we’ve had one question – what about Pikachu? Being the mascot of the franchise it would be strange to have an anime without it, but now we have our answer in the form of two new faces.
Friede and his partner Captain Pikachu are the latest announced characters for the upcoming anime and they’re set to travel alongside our protagonists!
