Fantasy Life was one of many underrated gems in the Nintendo 3DS library, a cutesy RPG that placed just as much value on the humble activities you can do around a village as the epic battles and questlines. While the game did get a little known sequel in Fantasy Life Online, it’s now getting a proper followup in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for the Nintendo Switch.

As a denizen of a quaint island, you’ll explore in one of several roles, whether it be woodcutter, angler, paladin, or something else. Along the way, you’ll meet a mysterious girl who will allow you to travel a thousand years into the past in order to see the island as it was back then. This will also give you the power to terraform and customize the island as you see fit. Ultimately, your life here is what you make of it!

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is coming for the Switch later this year. Stay tuned for more details.
