Today’s Nintendo Direct had plenty of announcements catering practically every audience, but as always the Japanese version had a few extra announcements.

For starters, Koei Tecmo has revealed a remake of the very first Atelier game, Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salsburg. It features superdeformed sprites on the overworld with new artwork for the dialogue scenes. Check out the reveal:

From Spike Chunsoft comes another entry in the Summer Vacation series by Millenium Kitchen. We thankfully saw the licensed Shin-chan entry in the west last year, so hopefully Natsumon! Summer Vacation could see a similar adventure overseas.

Square Enix was a relative no-show this time around but in Japan it revealed the previously trademarked Paranormasight File 23 – a rather spooky looking visual novel.

Finally, we have the latest entry in the never-localized Momotaru Dentetsu series all about public transport. Don’t hold your breath on this one getting an official release overseas!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
