The internet is currently abuzz with rumors of a February 7 Nintendo Direct, and one of the biggest whispers is about the release of the long-delayed Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The title was delayed close to its original release date nearly a year ago in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Now, with rumors of a new Direct, it seems the game could finally see a new release date, and soon.

On Reddit, a user by the name SexyPrincessWriter claims to work in the electronics section at Walmart, where they say they have received in-store promotional material proclaiming Advance Wars is “available now,” with an order to not display until February 10th. Another user in the comments, kacper_k, claims to work in a store in Ireland, where the game was suddenly added back into their system this past Thursday.

While all of this is unproven and should be taken with a grain of salt, it does create the impression that a Nintendo Direct could be headed our way, and soon.
