With how sizeable the Switch’s Arcade Archives selection is already it can be easy to forget what games haven’t appeared yet. Apparently, Taito’s classic arcade platformer Bubble Bobble has been a no-show all this time, despite it being perfectly suited to co-op Joy-Con play!

Thankfully Hamster Corporation has remedied that situation by dropping the game onto the Switch eShop today, with the re-release utilising the Japanese ROM file with a translated options menu and manual.

If you’ve yet to experience the 1986 platformer, you control Bub and Bob, two adorable bubble-spitting dragons who must descend the Cave of Monsters to rescue their girlfriends. You can check out a longplay below to get an idea of what to expect:

Arcade Archives Bubble Bobble is available now via the Nintendo Switch eShop in Japan and Europe, with a US release likely imminent.
