To say Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s launch was messy would be an understatement. For every comment gushing about the open world design or new Pokémon there were two or three others pointing out a ridiculous glitch.

Needless to say, fans have been eagerly awaiting news on a patch and now we finally know when it’ll drop – later today.

As detailed on Nintendo’s official website, the Version 1.1.0 update will cover the following:

  • Season 1 of Ranked Battles will kick off, allowing you to enjoy Ranked Battles through the Battle Stadium.
  • An issue has been fixed that caused the music to not play correctly during the battles with the Elite Four and the Top Champion in the Victory Road path.
  • Other select bug fixes have been made.

While that is fairly barebones, there is a final paragraph which states the following…

“We are aware that players may encounter issues that affect the games’ performance. Our goal is always to give players a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take the feedback from players seriously and are working on improvements to the games.”

It’s worth noting that Nintendo UK has stated the patch will arrive on December 2nd, implying the global drop will occur late in the day in the Americas.

We’ll be sure to let you know as and when new patches arrive for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
