Even though celebrating Black Friday doesn’t make much sense in Europe, what with its connection to the US tradition of Thanksgiving, in recent years it’s become a tentpole event for sales in the region. Nintendo’s not about to let the opportunity slip them by, either, with the company’s European branch opening up an eShop sale today!

The eShop Black Friday sale is one of the rare occasions that Nintendo discounts its first party titles. Super Mario Odyssey, Metroid Dread, and Skyward Sword in particular have received 33% discounts dropping them down to £33.29 each.

Both Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have received similar price drops as well, perfect for catching up and playing this year’s third installment.

There are plenty of other highlights too, like discounts on FIFA, No Man’s Sky, and Doom Eternal.

Of course the indies aren’t being ignored either, with Eastward, Golf Story, Limbo, and many, many more being given even heftier discounts.

The sale will run through 11:59 p.m. on November 30th, and it’s worth noting Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members will get double the Gold Points per purchase!

Whether it’s an exciting new entry in a series long established or a weird experiment meant only for the dedicated, Tom is eager to report on it. Rest assured, if Nintendo ever announces Elite Beat Agents 2, he’ll be there.
