You know, when Nintendo first revealed NSO icons, my mind lit up with possibilities and games that might feature as monthly features, a way to highlight older and perhaps under the radar games in the Switch’s extensive catalogue. And while the handling of icons for newer releases has been nice, we’ve… already gotten some repeats for older titles. Case in point, as November gives us another slate of Super Mario Odyssey icons (alongside the usual rollover of Animal Crossing birthdays).

The first week of SMO features the Seaside Kingdom, which at least contains the beyond iconic shirtless Mario pic (complete with nipples) that you can now attach to your Nintendo Switch profile for the whole world to see. As usual, icon elements are around for a week before rolling over, and entire games swap out at the end of the month, so if you want to jump up and grab an icon, do it before it’s gone.
