Most video game patches are so smooth and minute that you barely even register they’re there. It’s kinda the point, assuming you’re not dropping a huge update that adds new features. But it doesn’t always go so swimmingly — as is the case with the newest Nintendo Switch Sports patch, which, after a slate of reported crashes, has been pulled from distribution while Nintendo investigates/fixes it.

The reports are corroborated over on Reddit, where some folks use the opportunity to lambaste the rollout of the game in general (even though this wasn’t a big ticket update or the like). Nintendo notes that your system may ask for an update, even though the distribution of updates are currently suspended.
