We’re less than a month off from Yoko Taro’s existential pain fest and showcase of attractive android women. NieR: Automata makes its way to the Nintendo Switch, and naturally, the critically acclaimed and fan-favorite game was showcased at Tokyo Game Show this year with a dramatic trailer that showcased the dire circumstances of the game’s plot.

The trailer is in Japanese, so the details will likely be lost on you if you’re not familiar with the game, but even looking at the images one can grasp the emotion, suffering, and struggle that the game’s characters put up with. The weight of the world is on their shoulders as they fight the never-ending war between android and machine, seeking release or meaning through it all… and the trailer ends with showcasing some new DLC costumes for the Nintendo Switch version. Golly.

NieR: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition launches October 6th. You can pre-order your copy on Amazon today.
