In a rather unexpected move, Konami has announced HD remasters of the first two Suikoden games!
The classic PlayStation JRPGs are highly regarded, with their massive casts and politically charged stories. The new remastered versions redraw the backgrounds, HD battle effects, a fast forward toggle, and more. Thankfully the character sprites themselves are maintained!

Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars will launch for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2023.
