Another Bokujō Monogatari title is being remade for Nintendo Switch and this time it’s the beloved A Wonderful Life. Announced during the September 2022 Nintendo Direct, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is back and will be published under its new localization name. Get ready to revisit the Forget-Me-Not Valley (now renamed Forgotten Valley) in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Considered one of the best Bokujō Monogatari games and notable for its age progression (your kid isn’t the only one to grow up!), this version of A Wonderful Life has been graphically enhanced for the current console generation. Based on the trailer released by XSEED and content featured in the Nintendo Direct, it appears that Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life might be a mix of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition and Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is planned for a Summer 2023 release on Nintendo Switch. You can keep up to date with new screenshots, trailers, and more thanks to the brand new official site and Story of Seasons Twitter account. In fact, they’ve begun to answer a few fan requests and questions!

The original A Wonderful Life games didn’t have the option of same-sex marriage. Luckily, it’s been confirmed that it’ll be implemented in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life plus the ability to play as a non-binary protagonist.

Your Story, Your Way – With the option to play as a male, female, or non-binary protagonist, as well as all eligible marriage candidates available for romance regardless of that choice, you can truly be who you want to be.

As someone who has sunk hours upon hours in the original Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, farming-sim fans will be in a real treat when the new version of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is released in Summer 2023. Especially with these new features!
