Fans of YouTubers likely know of the silver and gold play buttons gifted to channels for passing 100,000 and 1,000,000 subscribers, respectively. Many channels claw and scrape to get these prestigious accolades… but for one already as accomplished as Masahiro Sakurai, it’s a more simple matter, as he’s already gotten hundreds of thousands of subscribers mere weeks after launching his YouTube channel:

Sakurai is already almost halfway to one mil subscribers, at roughly 450k subs at the time of this writing, though there’s a good chance he’ll break through that barrier in no time.
