RPG fans rejoice as XSEED has announced a surprising localization – Loop8: Summer of Gods.

The game, which was revealed as part of a Japanese Nintendo Direct in February 2022, is a time-travel coming-of-age adventure set in one of the last bastions of humanity based on rural Japan circa 1983. The protagonist, Nini, has a Demon Sight ability which allows him to reset the world to the start of August over and over again in the hopes of changing fate.

Loop8 is also noteworthy for having various veteran game designers like the mascot character designer Ryudai Murayama (Sakura: Of Rice and Ruin) and the composer Noriyuki Iwadare (Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations).
