Disney’s D23 Expo returns to Anaheim Convention Center this weekend, and for Day 1 of the massive convention, Disney held a showcase featuring recently released and upcoming Disney and Marvel video games. For Disney Dreamlight Valley, which just launched in Early Access this week, a future update was announced and it’s all about the Toy Story series.
Later this fall, a new door will be added to the Dream Castle. Unlock it with Dreamlight and you’ll find yourself in Bonnie’s bedroom, but toy-sized. Welcome to the Toy Story Realm! Woody and Buzz Lightyear are here too, and if you complete their quests, they’ll join you in Dreamlight Valley. In addition to Woody and Buzz, it was confirmed that Scar from The Lion King will be added in too, but even sooner. Manea Castet, lead producer for DDV, mentioned Scar’s addition to DDV in a post-show interview with IGN, and the official Disney Dreamlight Valley Twitter account confirmed that he’d be added in a separate update.
Scar will join your Valley in Fall 2022 ahead of the Toy Story Realm update!
