It’s only (already?) been a year since Deltarune: Chapter 2 released to the world in a glorious explosion of Berdley.pngs and Queen laughter. And considering there was a three year gap between the release of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, it’s unlikely that anybody really expected Chapter 3 (or beyond) so soon — but creator Toby Fox has confirmed that there won’t be any new Chapters this year… even if the Undertale/Deltarune Ch 2 anni will hold some sort of surprise.
We won't be able to put out any new chapters of DELTARUNE this year… But as usual, we have a little something specil planned for the anniversary of UT/DR Ch2… See you next week!

Fox is always a wily one, so said “something specil” [sic] could be in reference to something relatively minor or major. Considering other anniversary celebrations in the past have included a full orchestral concert and… the release of Deltarune Chapter 2, just about anything is possible. We’ll just have to see what this game developer who is definitely not just a dog at a keyboard has in store.
Toby also clarified that the Requiem Cafe x Undertale collab run with help from Fangamer was led by the Cafe (which includes fans of Undertale), as if he were in charge he would suggest some… unique items:
It's better if fans handle this stuff. If I was involved they'd be selling:
– Papyrus's Milk Tea: Same as Toriel's but with no tea and calcium supplements added
– Spider Cider: Contains bugs, costs 999 dollars
– Ghost Sandwich: When it comes it's just an empty plate
etc…— tobyfox (@tobyfox) September 5, 2022
We’ll just have to see what’s in store sometime next week.
