Last October various veterans of the Drakengard and NieR series released the unique RPG Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars. Earlier this year we saw a sequel, The Forsaken Maiden. Now it’s becoming a very quick trilogy with a third installment titled The Beasts of Burden.

The quick turnaround isn’t too surprising considering the deceptively simple designs of each game, where all elements are portrayed by cards. This can range from the world map being tiles of cards to dialogue choices and more.

Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden launches digitally for Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam on September 13th, 2022, and a Digital Deluxe edition will also be available featuring various customization options including NieR Re[in]carnation cameos.
