Guys, you aren’t going to believe this! A Nintendo Direct is rumored to be coming soon! Now I know you’ve heard this before, but this time, I swear, it HAS to be true. I know I hurt you in the past, but I could never lie to you, baby. Not again.

This latest rumor comes from Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb in his most recent podcast, Last of the Nintendogs . Grubb pinky swears that there will be a Direct in September. In fact, he is SO sure, he was quoted saying:

“100% there is a Nintendo Direct in September.”

According to Grubb, a source has indicated a Direct will take place the week of September 12th, but the final format isn’t fully locked down yet. What he does seem pretty sure about is the content being heavily focused on The Legend of Zelda and the long-rumored Switch ports of Twilight Princess HD and the Wind Waker HD.

“The things that I’ve been hearing… There will definitely be some Zelda stuff there. And the specifics that were name dropped were Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD ports to the Switch.”

Grubb continues by saying that he’s also heard that third party content will also be present in the Direct in some fashion, which isn’t super surprising. If you want to hear his full thoughts on the rumored Direct, check out the his Podcast above. Skip to the 12 minute mark for all of the juicy, leaked details.

With Twilight and Wind Waker possibly shown, it’s likely we’d also get some new Breath of the Wild 2 details while Nintendo’s at it. I mean, it only makes sense. At this point though, just like everything else, this is all speculation (and pure, unrelenting hope).

So, there you have it — another day, another Nintendo Direct rumor. While Grubb tends to be a bit more reputable compared to other leakers in the past, it’s best you keep your emotions in check until a formal confirmation comes from Nintendo. Oh, who am I kidding? PULL UP THE HYPE TRAIN, PEOPLE! IT’S DIRECT TIME!
