It’s been announced that Metal Slug Tactics, the strategy spinoff of SNK’s legendary run and gun, has been delayed into next year. Previously announced for release in 2022 about a year ago, Dotemu shared the news with some artwork of Marco, Fio, and the gang tuning up the titular tank.
Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma are tinkering away to make #MetalSlugTactics as explosive as possible on release, but the squad needs a bit more time in the shop to prepare for the battles ahead. See you in 2023! @LeikirStudio x @Dotemu

This is the second wartime tactics title to see a fairly indefinite delay this year. Previously, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was held back due to “world events” — stopping short of directly naming the still-ongoing war in Ukraine.
Be on the lookout for updates on Metal Slug Tactics in the future. It’s debut trailer made quite the impression, and as a fan of the genre and source series I’m confident the wait will be worth it.
