When Sonic Origins launched it was unfortunately saddled with a variety of issues that didn’t effect the original Genesis classics. Thankfully Sega has finally dropped an update that remedies some of these issues, as Tails’ Channel reports.

Perhaps the most infamous bug is gone – Miles “Tails” Prower no longer incessantly jumps off screen if you happen to leave him behind. Other noteworthy fixes include the correct soundtrack labelling for the DLC soundtrack titles and Blue Spheres’ music speed being adjusted.

Alongside those fixes we also have a bunch of new cheats for Sonic 3 & Knuckles! These range from standard cheats, like infinite lives even in Classic mode, to much-requested features like the ability to turn off Super Sonic’s music. There are goofy things, too, like changing every Badnik into the penguin enemy from Ice Cap.

To activate them, you’ll simply need to swing into the sound test and enter the codes.

We’ll just have to see what future support Sonic Origins receives in the coming months.
