It’s been a full two years since Fate/EXTRA Record, an upcoming remake of the PlayStation Portable-exclusive 2010 title Fate EXTRA, was announced. Another trailer has finally dropped on Type-MOON’s YouTube channel and it has plenty of characters, environments, and special moves that Fate fans will recognize.

The trailer kicks off with some familiar faces, such as Rin Tohsaka, seen in the series’ staple school setting. We then see protagonist Hakuno Kishinami and her servant Nero Claudius in action while fighting through a dungeon, before ending with snippets of Nero’s and Francis Drake’s ultimate attacks: their Noble Phantasms.

Unfortunately, besides this latest 2022 trailer, information on the game remains scarce. There is still no release date available, and platforms have yet to be announced. Still, Type-Moon did confirm that the release will come to “current generation platforms,” so if fate permits, a Nintendo Switch launch seems likely.
