“Fate” is one of the most popular and enduring franchises to come out of Japan in the past two decades, spawning multiple anime, an extremely lucrative mobile game, and more merch than you can shake a stick at. Way back in 2010 the series got its first RPG, the PSP’s Fate/EXTRA, and now, a decade later, the game is getting remade.

According to the official website, Type-Moon Studio BB is recreating the game’s concepts in Unreal Engine for “current generation platforms”. Given that Unreal Engine runs on Switch, and previous games in the series have released for the system in the past, we can hope the game makes the jump over.

Fate/EXTRA Record has yet to receive a release date or release platforms, but if it’s Switch-bound we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, you can play a Fate themed version of Dig Dug on the official site, because why not.
