A new Pokémon game brings the most important thing possible — new cuddly creatures. Specifically, new cuddly creatures that can be merchandised and marketed to siphon every last dollar out of the capitalist economy. But hey, they’re huggable, and that’s what matters, right? I mean, just look at these critters.

Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly — the starting Pokémon from the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet — are recreated with finesse in marketable plushie form. Look at ‘em. They’re attending a movie screening. Presumably a Pokémon film of some sort, though maybe they’re watching something more daring. (Fuecoco is a big fan of Scorsese, you know.) In only a few months’ time, we’ll be able to take our own copies of these plushies to the theater ourselves. Just think of it. The life experiences you’ll share.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet releases November 18th. The plushies will presumably release around then.
