Following in the path of its immediate predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is going to have an Expansion Pass. While already revealed during the Xenoblade 3 Direct last month, we now have a more solid idea of what will launch in the Pass’ first wave of content available on launch day: namely items and some new colors for outfits.

The items aren’t detailed besides being “helpful,” but Nintendo’s website confirms that all new outfits in Vol. 1 are just palette swaps. A nice bonus on launch day but nothing too essential or noteworthy. There was also a sneak peek at the contents in Vol. 2, slated to release by the end of the year:

The Hero silhouette looks unfamiliar, so it presumably isn’t a returning character from the past — though the Expansion Pass art certainly suggests Shulk and Rex will be showing up at some point, most likely in the third or fourth wave. We’ll update about the contents of those packs far into the future whenever they become relevant.
