Earlier this month Nintendo attempted to open orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition. It did not go well. Very few secured their purchases, with demand overwhelming the My Nintendo Store and fans clamoring for roundabout ways to get the coveted collectible. After hours of uncertainty and website-fueled frustrations, the order process was postponed indefinitely.

Now, in the wake of a dedicated Nintendo Direct for the game, the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition will return today, June 30th, at an unspecified time.

This time around there will be a virtual waiting room, in place to funnel fans and better manage website traffic. There will also be a hard one per customer limit, compared to the previous two per customer limit. Hopefully this leads to both a smoother experience and more people getting their hands on the expansive, upcoming RPG.
