As Sonic Frontiers gets it world first reveal, another upcoming title of the Blue Blur is getting a spotlight — Sonic Origins, which collects Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD, has been shown off on stream by Japanese publisher Famitsu. And we have a ton of details to look at, starting with what appears to be a gorgeous cutscene from the game’s new Story Mode showing the beginning of Sonic 1:

We also saw a glimpse of the world map, which packs all of the islands from each game: South Island from Sonic 1, West Island from Sonic 2, Floating Island from Sonic 3, Little Planet from Sonic CD, and it even looks like the Veg-O-Fortress from Sonic Spinball and the island from Sonic 3D Blast are featured as the locations for Mission and Museum Modes, respectively.
A few #SonicOrigins things to note:

The Famitsu team also showed off Mirror Mode, which flips the perspective of each game so you go from right to left instead of the traditional left to right, as well as a brief glimpse of what the Museum looks like. It’s a nice vertical slice of what the game can offer before it comes out this month. Sonic Origins releases on June 23rd.
