The people have been waiting on Sonic Frontiers news for quite some time, and Sega appears just about ready to pull back the curtain. They’ve offered a sneak peek of the game and the announcement that it’ll be the IGN First game for June, meaning that they’ll be revealing much about the title all month long.

The gameplay preview shows Sonic zipping around, fighting baddies, and exploring. We can see returning mechanics like rail grinding and the homing attack alongside new features like some sort of hamster wheel apparatus (the game’s version of sensor towers?) and new attacks, including against a very large monolithic enemy. We’ll have to tune in to catch more details as they’re released.
